Pirate Hat Tutorial

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you the little pirate hats I made for my daughter's 3rd birthday party last weekend. These were a HIT at her party, all the little kids loved them. Not to mention it only cost me a few dollars to make 16 of them! The party store in my town was selling paper ones for $2 a piece, sheesh! I think mine are cuter anyways, haha.

I used:

Cricut Expression
Cricut Gypsy
Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge
Craft foam
Small Hole Punch
Elastic string
White cardstock
ATG gun

She was one happy little Birthday Girl! I made her dress as well with my Singer Futura Quartet sewing/embroidery machine. I LOVE my machine! Video tutorials for that in the future. I used a pillowcase dress pattern for the dress and some 1 inch grosgrain ribbon for the straps.

These are the invitations I made for her party using the Cricut and Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.

This is the Pink Pirate Ship cake I made for her! She was SO excited about her cake. It was my very first time using fondant, so it wasn't perfect but she didnt seem to notice, she told me it was her "Best Birthday Ever!" I made homemade marshmellow fondant and colored it with Wilton coloring gels.

Thanks so much for watching! I appreciate all the followers and wonderful comments!

Happy Crafting!
