Glass Etching Tutorial
Hey! I wanted to share with you all my newest crafty venture into GLASS ETCHING using my Cricut! It was SO super easy! The hardest part is making sure you don't mess up the vinyl when you are transfering it onto the glass, lol! I bought some vinyl from the hobby store and placed it on my Cricut mat, I used Storybook cartridge and cut out 2 inch "H's" for each plate and glass, then their last name in 1.5 inch letters for the pyrex dish. Put transfer paper on the back after its cut and remove from the mat. I cut them in squares, and placed the negative part of the cut onto the glass, meaning I removed the actual H and just used the background as my stencil. BTW, the craft stores have stensils for this so you dont need a Cricut machine to do this! Then using a cheap paintbrush I applied a large amount of Armour Etch to the design making sure to cover all the open areas you want etced. I let them set about 10 minutes, then simply washed off the excess cream in the sink with soap & water and removed the vinyl and VOILA! The glass is permanently etched! I monogrammed a few bath towels & monogrammed a tote to put all my goodies in as well! It was for my "soon to be" cousin in- law :)
You can glass etc mirrors, glass on photo frames, ect, the possibilities are ENDLESS! And what an awesome custom made gift!

DIY Diaper cake & a tutorial!
Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you my very first diaper cake! It was SUPER easy to make, inexpensive & I think it came out really cute. You can personalize these as much as you want using your cricut machine to add embellishments, you could buy pre-made embellishments to match the "theme" of the shower ect ect, the possibilities are endless!
the supplies you will need are:
*1 bag of diapers- I used a 50ct bag from Walmart for $5.00, made a medium sized cake
*Small rubberbands- I used some of my daughters tiny hair bands i got from the dollar tree
*Large rubberbands
*Ribbons and embellishments
*Hot glue gun
To start off you have to roll all your diapers...
Secure each diaper with a tiny rubberband...
These are the diapers and 2 types of rubberbands I used...
Once the diapers are all rolled, start bundeling them together, securing with 1 or 2 large rubberbands. There is no set amount of diapers to use for each tier of the cake, just adjust as you go...
Now add your ribbon to cover the rubberbands. I chose 2 different ribbons to layer them, I think it looks cuter this way. Just hot glue the ends of each ribbon together (not to the diapers) and add a topper, I made a bow but you can use anything you would like. I dont think its complete until you have a topper, lol...
And there you go! You have a diaper cake! It cost me about $10 to make. It was a great decoration for the baby shower we had! And best of all, it was usable, lol!

DIY wedding flowers!
Getting married soon and on a tight budget? Make your own custom flower bouquets! I made all 9 for my bridal party for around $60 if im not mistaken! I wanted teal flowers b/c my girls were wearing black dresses and it would have cost HUNDREDS of dollars to have roses dyed to match. So, me being a do it your selfer went to Michaels crafts and bought everything I needed!
Flowers ( 60% off, they run this sale every few months)
Hobby air brush gun, around $10 (hooked to my air compressor)
water based craft paint, around .99 cents a bottle
bouquet holders, around $3 (on sale)
I spray painted the flowers individually with the air brush gun, BTW that was super fun, lol.. I left them on the long stems and put in vases so they could dry. Once dry I snipped the stem off and arranged the flowers on the bouquet holder and VOILA! I sprayed them lightly with glitter hair spray ( I got at Walmart arounf halloween time) to add a little sparkle.. I LOVED them, they were unique and the best part is I made them myself! We did alot of DIY things for my wedding and it made it that much more special!
